Big Band Śląski is a musical formation from Poland led by Grzegorz Nagórski. Seventeen talented and experienced musicians have been working under his supervision since 2020, most of them graduates of the Faculty of Jazz and Popular Music of the Academy of Music in Katowice. The members of the orchestra are winners of national and international music competitions, as well as teachers and academic lecturers associated with the Silesian, national and international jazz community. The artistic director is Grzegorz Nagórski - an outstanding musician, composer, teacher, trombonist and euphonist recognized in Poland and around the world. He has recorded several dozen albums and performed numerous concert tours in Poland and abroad. He is a professor of musical arts, lecturer at the Academy of Music in Katowice and Kraków. In November 2022, the orchestra released its first album entitled "A Wide Spectrum", hailed by critics and jazz music experts as the best Big Band album in the history of Polish orchestral jazz music in Poland.
